Session on Water Management

A session on Water Management was held, as scheduled on 17th October 2023 at Loreto Day School, Bowbazar. Eminent guests, Sister Nithya, Sister Benedicta and Mrs Sanchayita Dey (National Coordinator of JPIC) spared their valuable time to grace this occasion. Teachers from neighbouring schools, other Loreto schools and Loreto Day School Bowbazar staff attended the session. The Resource person Dr. Manasi Bal Bhargava gave some of her valuable time sharing her in-depth knowledge on the topic Water Management. Two Research scholars who accompanied the Resource person helped in various ways for the smooth functioning of the session. The resource person highlighted through powerpoint presentation the various types of plastics and the importance of recycling it. She conveyed through Statics that both land and aquatic animals are facing unnatural death due to intake of plastics creating an asymmetric imbalance in nature. She also stated that society has to work in unition in a sustainable manner for the betterment of the future generations. She also further opined the usage of 8 R's in place of 4 R's used earlier. It was an enriching and invigorating session.
